The Role
Good because there were a lot of other interns and grads to chat to
Everyone is more than happy to take time to meet and explain what they do/give advice, as well as take suggestions and recommendations.
There were several people who got in touch at the start of the internship from managers to graduates who all offered support.
Some days were busier than others. I was given a long project to be getting on with and a few side projects such as briefs and analysis pieces so there was always something to be thinking about. There were some days where not much was going on but these allowed me to organise and plan.
As much as you would expect to be given in an internship. Lots of guidance was given for important tasks and a bit more free reign for my long project.
Really developed my presentation skills, confidence and soft skills in general. Developed a strong work ethic and it helped give some context to what I learn at Uni
The Company
Great - quite a young office where everyone is really nice and chatty
Quite well, I was given a roadmap that outlined what I was going to be doing week by week. A lot of time and effort had clearly been given to making our placement as valuable as possible.
Massively - lots of expensed days out to various agencies, and allowed to give presentations etc to aspiring students
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
There is a clear and organised graduate programme that appears to have a lot to offer.
The Culture
Depends on who the other interns are but there are solid foundations for a good social life as there was about 50 of us living in Uni halls. There were regular pub nights, football, and nights out.
Quite expensive.. £4.80 pints
Decent if you get in a taxi to Windsor or are happy getting binned in a local.
Yes plenty
