About You
It was a great experience and I learnt a lot from it. My team were very welcoming and a lot of the seniors at the bank were open to have a chat.
I felt very valued. As I was on a small team, I could feel and see the impact of my work.
My team as well as HR and a few seniors I met along the way gave me a great deal of support throughout my 10 weeks.
We were given a week long training course which was beneficial. Anything I was unsure of throughout my internship, I felt comfortable asking my team for clarification.
The Company
I think because I was the only marketing intern, my internship was less structured than the others. I didn’t mind this but I could see it being difficult for other interns.
The atmosphere was fantastic at the firm! The culture is something I’m very fond of at Jefferies.
I wouldn’t say there was particularly a lot of actual investment in my personal development (asides from the senior speaker series) but I’d definitely say that the internship made me grow as a person greatly.
I think it was a good representation. However, a lot of people did reiterate that summer is a very quiet time for the firm and so I don’t think the workload was anywhere near as intense as it usually is.
I definitely got a good feel of Jefferies’ flat and entrepreneurial culture.
It gave me great insight into the corporate world. It was a very eye opening experience.
