The Role
The people I met were lovely and all willing to help, and the training provided was extremely useful
The people I worked with daily were always finding ways to make me feel included in the team
I had regular communication with my manager and they had a genuine interest in helping me do well in the internship
I was given daily tasks and always sent extra reading and work to further my knowledge
I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility and eased into a lot of the work
The things I have learned assist me beyond my degree and provide more practical experience in what a working environment is like
The Company
People were chatty and welcoming from the first day, they all assist one another
I received regular email updates and invitations to speaker series to help with extra knowledge into the company. HR was very involved with the whole process and always available
A lot of investment goes into the interns, people are frequently happy to have you work shadow and to talk over their role with you
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
A future job with the company would be appealing due to the amount of energy that they invest into training and the welcoming environment
The Culture
All the other interns were sociable and will frequently see eachother outside of work
It is relatively expensive because of the location so does provide some limitations
There are a lot of interesting places to go, but once again it is an expensive area
Yes, emails are frequently sent round inviting people to different social events and workshops or sporting activities
