BP Discovery Day Review

Brilliant day with a well planned structure, giving insight into a range of things including the upstream oil and gas industry and the individual experiences of recent graduates. The day involved various interactive sessions which really helped bring the industry to life and provided more than just the opportunity to speak to others, but experience training ourselves

I felt extremely valued, with all staff being welcoming and friendly throughout the visit- were definitely valued as a guest. Lunch was provided and refreshments were easily accessible throughout the day with the primary focus of the day being how we could develop from this insight

Lots of support. Though out the day staff were available to answer questions and listen to our requests which meant that all the questions in my mind we're answered. At the start the staff asked our group what we would like to gain which helped line up our expectations of the day and we received the support we wanted

A detailed insight of the upstream portion of the oil and gas industry which is something I now look forward to learning more about in the future. This will help me decide where I can best fit in beyond my time at university.

All travel up to £100 is reimbursed. If the journey is greater than 3h, BP will reimburse a hotel

Yes, being in bed with planning the summer ball, after work activities etc were all discussed with the staff providing a good insight into the work life balance of BP
