The Role
Fulfilling work. Always have something to do and are kept busy by the team yet not hectic. Amazing people and company culture.
One of the best parts of the experience was the relationships with the team around us. They challenge you with new tasks but also support you when necessary. Great social atmosphere as well.
Designated buddy when you first join to help you through your day, introduce you to people and show where you can find any necessary tools. Able to ask any questions no matter how big or small. Designated Counsellor to discuss career objectives and any professional queries.
Placed on a number of different projects so always kept busy. Even when chargeable work is on hold you can always ask around and people are happy to show you a new side of the business. It’s about what you make of it
We got on our tasks within the projects to “own” and were also often on client site representing the company. Again about what you make it and if you ask for responsibility you receive it.
Useful first experience within the financial world. Invaluable experience received which cannot be taught but is learned through performing tasks and being part of the team.
The Company
It’s an extremely friendly and warm environment to work with. Teams are very social and it’s easier to work with friends rather than colleagues. All employees no matter how senior always willing to have a chat and share their experiences.
Well organised by internship programme team. Got to experience a number of different sides of the business.
Various sources for training and self improvement both through colleagues as well as online tools such as SuccessFactors.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Good further prospects. Encouraged to build connections, complete deliverables and receive feedback to support case for further employment.
The Culture
Good social relations between interns. Office culture allowed us to be relaxed and never once felt in “competition”.
Based on London so expensive to socialise with interns but when out with the team socials are able to be expensed
Heart of London so lots of vibrant nightlife. Expensive and seems like a rip off if from somewhere else but fun none the less
Lots of opportunities for activities outside of work through CSR days as well as foundation fundraisers.
