The Role
It was a very enjoyable place to work. We were kept busy and everyone was will to help and take the time to explain everything very clearly ensuring we understood what was happening.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Since it is such a young firm, I think this helps too to engage and interact easier.
This varied from manager to manager, some were better than others, but I think it largely also depended on how much they had going on and how busy they were.
At the start I wasn’t that busy all of the time, but that soon changed and I soon had plenty to do and was very busy in the end
This progressively increased throughout the 6 weeks. By the end you were given a lot more responsibility to do the work on your own.
I have learnt so much over the 6 weeks from technical terms to a greater insight to the working life. It will definitely help me while finishing my degree and for future careers.
The Company
Since it is such a young office the atmosphere was good. It had its ups and downs with work load/demand, but overall it was a nice atmosphere to work and everyone was very friendly.
Very well organised, the Summer Internship Team have been very helpful and the contacts in the office too.
There was an online platform that had numerous courses you could do if you had free time as part of our training. Apart from that there was no more training but the time taken to explain things was very useful.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing, especially now knowing people in the team/office and more about what it entails.
The Culture
We would all have lunch together everyday, keep up to date via Skype and regularly go out for drinks after work.
Quite expensive and travel added up everyday since I lived at home. Going out for lunch everyday would have added up too, so a lot of us preferred to bring our own.
Plenty to do around about the office and near the end the Fringe started so lots to do for that too.
Other than some office drinks, I wasn’t offered anything else.
