The Role
People are very nice and supportive, however not much structure to internship.
Colleagues were very nice and appreciated work I did
Colleagues always willing to help and give their time to explain things.
No, not much structure to internship for large parts did not have much work
Not much, all your work is triple checked so not much faith given in work done. Mainly ad hoc/admin tasks given that level 1's didn't want to do.
Other than technical knowledge about indirect tax, my skills haven't developed much.
The Company
Generally calm not too hectic. Relaxed environment to work in, not good if you like to be in a busy place.
Very poor, first week was a write off with induction and them you are placed in a sub-service line without being given a choice.
Colleagues gave their time, but firm doesn't do much for you.
Very good, coversion rates for grad job are around 90% if you work hard and are nice.
The Culture
Yes, although everyone is busy theres always and appetite for drinks or socials.
Canary wharf is very expensive, either EY needs to pay more or pay for transport.
Central london is very lively so very good nightlife.
