The Role
The whole team is really friendly and welcoming. The training is thorough and the work is challenging and diverse.
I felt very valued and I felt my work was making a difference, we had to present about a client at the end of the internship and lots of colleagues came to hear what we had to say. The study package for grads is very good too so they obviously value us.
Lots of support, before each new task we'd be talked through and was easy to go back and ask more questions. We were given feedback regularly and opportunity to work on our points of feedback. Often when I asked for help it was met with enthusiasm and colleagues would see to it that I was helped to a solution.
Very busy, all but one day in my first week I was jam packed all day and not bored at all. We had a good amount to do and people were good at not dumping too much on us last minute. They made sure we didn't get too swamped though and made sure we left at 5pm where possible which was great.
We were given lots of responsibility in terms of client work but obviously due to the nature of Actuarial work our work had to be checked at least twice before going to the client.
The skills were massively valuable. learning to be sharp and critical in my thinking as well as maintaining a professional working relationship with people has been extremely useful for my personal relationships and in how I'm looking to approach uni work for 3rd year. Lots of technical skills to learn too and I've definitely developed my skills here a lot.
The Company
Quiet sometimes but also friendly and sometimes people get chatting for a while. Flexi working seats so feels relaxed.
Very well organised, everything was very clear and I didn't feel lost at all.
Lots of training, for the 8 weeks we had 1 week of training sessions. the grad study package is really good too.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym

Very appealing, don't know if I got a job yet we find out after we leave.
The Culture
Very good social scene, pub every friday and first Friday of every months we get free drinks in the office before the pub. socials almost fortnightly and fun ones too, in your hub(10) Business unit (30) or whole department.
Was quite expensive as it's in the City but good fun
Nightlife is good as you're near shoreditch so lots of our socials go there
Lots of out of work stuff, company cricket/football/netball/fun runs etc etc
