The Role
Really enjoyed it. Was a great learning experience
Everyone was really friendly and felt like a part of the team even if I was just an intern.
There was always someone willing to help whenever I needed it.
I always had something to do, but the work was not over-bearing. So, I was never bored because I always had something or the other to work with, but the team didn't expect me to get it done as soon as possible. The deadlines were realistic and help was accessible whenever I needed it. I nearly always leave the office before 5.15.
I'm surprised witjh the amount of responsibility that was given to me. Having interned at another company the previous summer, I thought this internship would be similar to that one in the sense where I would do a lot of maintenance work. Instead, I am doing similar work to everyone else. E.g. there's a task that needs to be completed for products A, B and C. Two members of my team are doing A and B while I am doing C. I'm always part of the daily scrum and weekly catchup, as well as further catch ups with my manager every couple of weeks.
Very much. I have learnt what it is like to work in industry.
The Company
Friendly, light and happy. There's always a joke being cracked somewhere.
Very organised. After the mandatory training was finished on the monday, I was briefed on my first task on tuesday.
A whole week at the beginning of the internship was laid out just for intern training.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing! This is a great company to work for.
The Culture
Yes.
I live from home and have spent about £900 traveling into work this entire summer.
Alright. It's central london so there's always something to do.
Yes, many. There was always something extra to do.
