The Role
I enjoyed the experience at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and hope to receive an offer as a result of the internship.
The team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch gave me increasingly difficult/complex responsibilities throughout the course of the internship, making me feel like I was able to add value to the various projects I was apart of this summer.
My project supervisors provided reliable guidance and were patient with me as I was learning to complete tasks on the job.
I was very busy from week #1 on the internship, due to the nature of the investment banking role/evironment.
Again, my responsibilities increased dramatically from the start to end of the internship. I was able to provide significantly more value in the back half ot the experience vs. the initial weeks.
I learned much more than many of my business school colleagues who took internships in other firms/industries. My knowledge of PPT/Excel to pitches and M&A transactions is much more comprehensive than when I started in June.
The Company
The atmosphere is fast-paced, interesting and professional. I enjoyed working in an organisation filled with intelligent, ambitious, colleagues.
The Bank of America Merrill Lynch work placement was set up seamlessly from start to finish (including numerous trainings, social events, etc.). I am very impressed with the overvall process/structure.
The firm held at least one intern training per week and many project-specific teaching/training sessions to learn how to successfully complete assignments on the job.

I found the role very interesting and hope to receive a full-time offer at the end of the internship.
The Culture
Yes, the other associate interns and I caught up every week to socialise outside of the workplace.
London is an expensive city, however, the cost of living/socialising was in-line with my expectations.
London is a significant city that offers every available nightlife option an intern may desire.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch held weekly events to meet full-time employees, as well as a number of social events that were only for interns.
