The Role
I enjoyed working at Merrill Lynch. I had the chance to cover in 9 weeks lots of different sectors and gain knowledge.
The colleagues were nice, opened to questions anytime I needed.
All the time. The team is very accessible, particularly the manager.
I always had something to do, so wasn't bored at all.
I think that it was fair when taking into account that I was an intern. I took part in writing initiations and analysed financial statement. It was perfect for me in order to get the whole picture.
My answer is 1 just because there is NO correlation between what you study and what you do. also, I have done the internship after my master's. I studied economics and I think that the experience at Merrill Lynch just made my knowledge broader, unrelated to academy of course.
The Company
Overall, it was good. Still. it can get better- more going out with the team after work for example can make the environment more sociable.
PERFECT. everything was precise. During the internship, we had learning sessions and cool activities with the other interns.
I think that it can be better. maybe some brief days on essential financials you have to know...
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
Extremely appealing!
The Culture
All the time- BBQ, rafting, boat. the social platform for the interns was great.
I lived in the halls of my university so I can't tell. (Angel area)
I think that around the place there are a few nice bars.
We had a few options to volunteer as Merrill Lynch is very cared about social activities.
