The Role
I had a very interesting and enjoyable experience at the bank. I had work to do most of the time and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I felt my colleagues were interested in helping me and giving me different types of work to do. They appreciated the work I did and were very friendly.
I was given a fair amount of support. I never felt lost or unable to complete a task through lack of guidance.
I was relatively busy and had work to do most of the time.
I was given interesting and useful tasks and was given plenty of responsibility.
I have felt that this internship has given me a really good insight into banking. It will help in my degree as many of the skills used overlap. I will definitely consider banking as a future career after this experience.
The Company
The office had a nice atmosphere, yet if I were to come to the bank again I feel a larger busier office would be interesting to see.
My branch took a while in setting me up yet this was nobody's fault. Once I was settled in I was given more opportunities and things to do.
I undertook all the mandatory training, and I felt time was invested in developing the relevant skills I needed to complete the internship.
Company Parties/Events
I would consider working at this bank in the future.
The Culture
I met with the interns on a couple of occasions.
The area was very convenient for me. I had no travel costs.
There was not much nightlife yet I was invited to a couple of events.
There were a number of sporting and socialising activities available.
