The Role
Loved my internship, the structure was unique in the sense that we got to rotate in different teams. That was great although at the end it would be better to focus on one or two teams where we fit maximum rather than having to keep working with 3 teams
People were really willing to take some of their time to explain things, take a coffee and discuss career descisions. My colleagues were also very supportive when it came to putting me in from of seniors and defend my work.
Internally we had a structure with buddies, development officers, staffers and mentors. It really allowed me to navigate within the firm and ask any questions.
Had some days where I was really busy as it can be expected in investment banking, but some days were also very quiet due to seniors going to meet clients or waiting for comments. Again this follows the industry logic and provides a good balance between intense moments and more quiet and relaxing ones.
I got exposure to very senior people and working direclty with VPs/Ds on a 1-1 basis which was great
developped a broad skillset not limited to finance but also social skills, various softwares and applications such as bloomberg, factset, LCD comps, Capital IQ, excel, Capital structure and more.
The Company
my team was very friendly, supportive and willing to help me when required. Great atmosphere
Well structured internship, starting with one week of training, and then split into two parts
We had a week of training as the start as well as on-going trianing and developpment sessions throughout the internship.
