The Role
I got exactly what I wanted out of my placement and learnt valuable skills throughout the whole year.
Very valued. I was given real responsibility from the start.
Support was not given directly from my manager however there were plenty other colleagues who were always happy to offer help when needed such as team members.
I was very busy at times and not so busy at others. The work load fluctuates based on the project.
A lot, I was developing software that will be used in the products MBDA make.
I learned an awful lot of C++ which will help me with my degree studies however there are other aspects of my degree studies that I will still need to learn.
The Company
Very relaxed, a good team environment.
Quite organised. Training was given at the start and I always knew what I was supposed to be doing.
I was given a lot of opportunities to improve my skills outside the area of what my job was in.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Above 25 days holiday
Fairly appealing, would be a very nice company to work for in the long run.
The Culture
Very social. A large company so there is a lot of young people around.
Pretty expensive, definitely achievable.
Not a lot going on but it is easy enough to get into London.
A lot of sports can be taken up within the organisation.
