The Role
Started off slow but once real work started coming in it became a lot more enjoyable
Didn't feel that involved in my first placement as my desk was further away from the main group so couldn't join in casual conversation as easily. Team was also very large. Second placement team was smaller so was easier to join in these sorts of things.
Weekly meetings to review team progress. Occasional updates in-between.
Not so busy during first placement due to the ramping down of current projects. Very busy during second placement.
Not much in the first placement due to the ramping down. A fair bit in the second placement due to ramp up.
Documentation writing will help prepare for 3rd year project write-ups. Project planning will also help for the 3rd year project.
The Company
Depending on the day full of energy or really quiet.
The two 6 month placement structure was fine
Solder training and that was it
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Would definitely be interested in returning
The Culture
Whatsapp group was recently set up
I stayed in student accommodation so was very cheap
I'm not a nightlife person so I wouldn't know
Lots of social events but limited stem outreach opportunities etc
