The Role
It was rather enjoyable. My colleagues were very nice, the work was challenging, and the opportunities it provides were amazing.
My colleagues spent a lot of time helping prepare me for the internship, taught me necessary skilsl to get my work done, and gave me very helpful feedback. They were also really fun to hang out with and talk to.
Management was very supportive. There was a wide network of support I could draw upon and use whenever I needed.
Depends. Some days were very slow and some days were very hectic. This is partly due to business specific requirements. However it was nothing I couldn't handle.
I was given a fair share of responsibility, being responsible for client data and analysis.
I gained a lot of skills especially numeracy and analytical skills that I plan to do use later on in my career. They teach you now only how to work in an office environment but also business specific technicalities.
The Company
It was nice and friendly. Sometimes slow because of the small size of it but overall it never felt overwhelming or too dull.
It was relatively well organized. There were some issues initially with computer access but those were sorted out very quickly.
The firm invested a lot in personal development. They took us to countless development and CSR events and it was rather enjoyable to say the least.
Company Parties/Events
Very. The graduate scheme is very appealing and it's a really good and competitive position.
The Culture
Though my placement consisted of a small amount of interns, the social scene was rather good and we managed to make a lot out of it.
I lived at home, and the internship is nationally mobile so you could end up anywhere.
See above. I lived at home and you could get placed anywhere, but in general everyone was placed somewhere that was fun and exciting and they had contact with interns.
There were a lot of events, including CSR oppurtunities, graduate commitees and within the work placement client meetings and presentations.
