  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere and meeting great people. The tasks were extremely varied and gave you a good grounding of skills.

  • They were welcoming straight away and valued my input as if I was a permanent colleague.

  • We had many avenues of support for which we could fall back on if we had any questions throughout. The support we received varied from informal to more formal support.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had a very good balance of work which was value adding along with the many other tasks such as charitable work and external group projects.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given value adding work especially towards the end of the internship and was given the necessary support I needed in order to complete it.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned a lot from this internship which will help at uni, especially the time management element and reaching out to people when you need assistance or just for advice.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere throughout the grads and interns, as well as the team I worked with. Everyone was extremely friendly and approachable.

  • Extremely good organisation of events and hotel stays when necessary which made us feel at ease straight away.

  • Most certainly was I invested in with many development days and workshops in order to improve skills such as our personal branding and resilience.

  • There are many different roles which I would love to experience and we have been given great access to find out about other areas of the business.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Excellent, we had various socials and events which many of the interns attended, as well as many of the grads.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Leeds is very affordable and had a wide variety of places to go that offer cheap and more upmarket options.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Leeds has exceptional nightlife which I was aware of as I go to uni there.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We had a charity day along with a grow £10 challenge for charity so there was plenty of opportunity. There was also complete flexibility if you wanted to go visit other interns or teams across the country.
