The Role
On the whole I really enjoyed my placement.
I felt very valued and welcomed by my colleagues
My manager and grad coach were excellent at giving me support, feedback and new pieces of work to do
By the time my on placement project was in full swing I was pretty busy on a daily basis and particularly towards the end when the extra ciricular project was coming up
I was given a good amount of responsibility, particularly with my on placement project where I designed and rolled out a new spreadsheet which is now used by the team
I will use the skills developed a lot in the future. My soft skills, interppoersonal relationships and confidence from going out of my comfort zone have all been developed.
The Company
Very friendly and relaxed. at times it was quite quiet as many RMs worked from home or were on client meetings
Very well organised for intern events. I think my manager could have been briefed more about the internship
they invested loads into our personal development and this was a particular highlight of the internship
Company Parties/Events
I hope to get a place on the grad scheme
The Culture
yes, particularly as the internship went on and we knew each other better there was a good social scene.
I lived in my uni house so my rent stayed the same and the cost of socialising in Leeds is pretty reasonable
Leeds nightlife is very good.
There was one football tournament but I was unable to make it.
