The Role
I enjoyed my Internship very much, there was a lot of freedome to explore the bank and securities business and every member of staff I met was willing to help.
I definitely felt a part of the team and did genuine value added work.
This varied as some were very busy and some not so busy, being in the summer. Overall, I would say the guidance was great.
My managers ensured I was busy but were flexible around deadlines - but I did hear of other Interns staying quite late.
Responsibilty is limited as you are only an Intern, but it was still good exposure to the daily tasks.
As someone from a non-finance background, this Internship really created a foundation of knowledge which I look forward to building upon.
The Company
Depended on the team you were in. Some went out for drinks often with their team, but my team rarely met up after work. In work, everyone got on really well and it was a very supportive atmosphere.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I think they are looking to hire junior staff as many of the staff are quite senior, but again, it depends on the team.
The Culture
All the Intern's got on really well and we frequently met up for lunch and after work too.
