The Role
I really enjoyed my 9 week experience. My team were fantastic because they helped me learn a huge amount and gave me great exposure.
Anytime I needed help/wanted to learn more, my colleagues always made time for me. They also took me to different meetings too in order to help me develop.
I had all the support I needed. I was always able to book time in their diary to discuss issues/queries.
After teaching me about all the products, my manager kept me nice and busy throughout the whole placement, this allowed me to feel like a real part of the team.
I was given a very good level of responsibility. This allowed me to make real contributions. However I wasn’t given an overwhelming amount of responsibility that would put me under too much pressure.
What I learned throughout my 9 weeks helped take me beyond anything I’d learned at school/university before.
The Company
The office can be quite busy but people are always willing to give assistance.
Very well organised. We had weekly talks to enhance our learning and development.
The company definitely invested a lot into us. We had an initial 2 day training period where we learned some technical and softer skills. We also had weekly talks where we were able to meet managing directors and learn about different business areas. Lastly, I spent a large amount of time in the first week learning about the various products with my manager.
We have an opportunity to be considered for the graduate program at the end of this summer internship.
The Culture
Yes, people engaged in many social activities. Every now and then, my team would do dinners, karaoke nights, picnics and drinks nights. This was a good chance to get to know the team better.
Quite expensive.
Very good. London has many places to go to socialise/hang out with people. These include bars, cinemas, restaurants and bowling alleys. This is a great city to work in.
I believe there are plenty of opportunities
