The Role
The full stack experience on coding. The increasing difficulty and complexity of the project given. Able to fetch help from colleagues at ant time. Social events and workshops provided by the company. The payment, holiday and pension policy. Helpful HR Resources on self development and internal opportunity. Organized SCRUM process.
Personal ideas on enhancement been taken into consider and put into JIRA Board or back log. Approved on PR request and merged to release, also detailed implementation advice when reject the request. Feedback from colleagues when seeking suggestions. Social events involvement. Approved vendor product purchase and feedback about further enhancement.
Weekly formal manager 1 to 1 about performance during internship and suggestion on the next step. Informal update on daily standup and short demo when finished a stage of the project. Meet supervisor twice a month to share experience within the firm, suggestion on future development. Share uni advice since my supervisor is from the same uni.
Depends on the project I was working on, if its a quick fix, I would have time to chill a bit when going through the testing for about 10 minutes. If it is a big project, I would follow the steps design at the start of the project, but I would still have time for bathroom, lunch and coffee. 3 meetings a day at most including daily standup.
Not developing critical project, but I was still working on core features on the current project. Given responsibility to do a demo of vendor project in front of the business side. Also given task to change the current structure of the way they distributed the data. So have been given a lot of responsibility on the project.
The ability to develop code with JavaScript and React would help my course works. Make plan of the code development and good code structure would help with the future code development. Stable timetable everyday to have a good life style. Start to have ideas about how to network with people would help future self development.
The Company
Casual, friendly environment. Everyone happy to help other people but also focus on their own project. People would able to chat about their life as well as anything related to work. It's chill in the company and people would smile and say hi to each other in the morning which is quite nice.
In a good manner. Have been given time for setup, minor project to get to know the project as well as bonus project when looking for more work to do. Weekly recruitment email catch up to know the stage within the internship. Given a reasonably difficult project as the final challenge.

Really good, they have told us when will the promotion happens every year, a clear path within the firm. Also provided detailed SEP program description.
The Culture
Yes, they have organized mid-intern social as well as end of intern social with free tab. Everyone enjoyed themselves and having a great time. Also within the team we would have team social, mainly having lunch or dinner together to bond the relationship within the team. For students we also have internal chat so can talk to each other everyday.
Around 2000 pounds for renting for 10 weeks. I normally do not make food so about 400 pounds on other living costs. Socialising is a bit more expensive since the average cost I have for every social is about 40 pounds, dinner or bar. However compare with the salary I would say it balanced and able to put some money aside.
Not really popular.
No much since I like go to the gym and go swimming, which I normally go alone.
