The Role
Really enjoyed it, got given a real project which I had sole responsibility for, large amounts of business exposure and multiple training and development days.
Very valued, all colleagues are exceptionally welcoming, friendly and approachable.
Lots of support by both my manager and her wider team.
Always had a few things to do but never felt under pressure to due the workload (understandable for an intern)
The main project I worked on I had sole responsibility for. On other smaller pieces of work I was fully trusted to produce materials independently.
Excel skills, presentation skills, team working and leadership skills were all heavily developed through a range of projects, presentation days, workshops and developments days
The Company
Very friendly and informal (this depends heavily on which office you are based in though)
Had no real issues with the organisation, everything worked out fine and the team running the program did a great job.
Very Heavily, through training days, workshops, side projects and presentation days.
Graduate scheme seems to be very good, the company is rapidly changing and it is hard to predict what the future holds for future employment...
The Culture
Very good, both with the interns at your local site (where you are based) and among interns on the same stream but at different locations.
Accommodation was provided for at no cost at all so even though it was central Manchester and not the cheapest place on earth, for the interns it was very affordable as we had no accommodation costs, free accommodation is provided for all interns across all sites.
Central Manchester so very good, can't fault it
Lots of side projects to work on outside of the standard role
