The Role
This internship was a great way to network with people of similar and different backgrounds and was a great introduction to the finance industry
Colleagues were very welcoming and helped create a very inclusive culture
Regular meetings every week with my manager that kept me focused towards my internship objectives which we drew up together at the beginning of the internship
Initially fairly quiet but picked up very quickly as we got used to the systems and nature of the work
Treated as if we were permanent employees of the company which was very encouraging
Help me to plan and organise my university schedule whilst juggling many tasks at the same time
The Company
Always positive - the positive culture is one that you'd rarely find in top finance corporations
Very organised by the HR team although our department went through recent restructuring so there was some slight uncertainty about graduate prospects for interns
Regular Lunch & Learn sessions which helped careers and personal progressions inside the workplace
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I would love the opportunity to be offered a graduate role as I see myself fitting in well within Aon, whilst completing CFA qualifications with Aon's support
The Culture
Regular after work socials which allowed all team members to socialise
Living in London is not the cheapest Socialising was so awesome so many places to visit with colleagues and external friends
10/10
Can volunteer on Diversity and Inclusion days which is very insightful
