The Role
Really enjoyed the internship, offered a great insight into the industry and everyone is very helpful and generous with their time
Everyone was very supportive and helpful especially mentors and HR
Was usually given clear guidance regarding tasks and expectations and was able to ask questions on completing most tasks
Some days were much more busy than others, for example the days leading up to presentations were very busy whereas last few days of each rotation were much less busy and allowed lots of time for networking
Interns weren't given any major day to day responsibility however a lot of the projects I worked on were also very useful to the rest of the team
I learnt a lot of technical skills as well as gained lots of market knowledge and soft skills
The Company
Office had a really good atmosphere, most people were very friendly and approachable
The internship was very well set up with a formal review processes and HR were very helpful with any issues
During the first week we received finance training run by an external company and HR ran regular teach in sessions with different areas of the bank
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
very appealing, I think the company has a great culture and provides a great platform for anyone starting out their careers
The Culture
All the interns got a long well but more of an effort could have been made to hold interns specific social events
Cost of living and socialising was quite high due to the central London location
Nightlife was good there are lots of nice bars and restaurants in the area
There were several sports and charity activities that interns could get involved in
