The Role
sometimes a bit boring, dealing with computer issues & stressful which is why only 7/10.
Very valued.
Some support and guidance but also trusted to be independent and work things out for myself. But anytime I asked for help everyone was very accommodating.
So busy - lots of time pressure but throughout the internship I became more efficient.
A lot of responsibility - worked on real tasks with my team, not made up projects so the stakes were quite high.
Excel skills will be so useful, and just general skills of managing my time, knowing when to ask for help, attention to detail.
The Company
Unbelievable friendly and chilled - I had expected a really competitive environment but that was not the case it was very collaborative.
In general very organised. The only downside was not having a permanent desk which meant some days I was unsure where I was working and had to move around a lot.
My team invested a lot of time in me showing me how to do certain tasks and explaining concepts to me. Outside of my team and in other functions everyone I asked for a shadowing session was really happy to have one and teach me new things even when they were busy.
Very appealing - a really nice working environment and culture that appeals to me a lot.
The Culture
Intern socials were nice to meet people from across the firm and also team lunches or drinks meant I could really bond with my team away from an office environment.
Pretty expensive - however food and drinks at intern events were free!
Too exhausted to go out properly - instead just got casual drinks after work sometimes.
Didn't really have much time for that.
