The Role
It was a very enjoyable experience, the work was challenging but interesting and it was a lovely place to work.
We all felt very welcomed and valued
we had weekly status chats with our line managers where we could raise any issues we had. There were always people around to help with any tech issues.
There was always something to do we were never wandering about the office looking for jobs, it was very well organised with different training activities and projects
The first 4 weeks were training and an internal project and after that I was working on a client project
It was a very good insight into working in a small tech company and I am sure the coding skills I picked up on the way will help me in my degree
The Company
Very friendly
Very well organised, fit very nicely with term dates and we had plenty of training, there were almost always people around to help with any coding issues despite people going off on holiday
It was very clear that the interns mattered to the company, we had well organised and helpful training, mentoring and management.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
From working here for a summer I would say very good, it's lovely that employee happiness seems to be such a priority
The Culture
Yes, there were many morale events, mostly pub trips but also a theatre trip and barbecues.
It's Bristol so not the cheapest but not as bad as London
Bristol has great nightlife
Yes, the company organised lots of events and anyone is free to organise their own
