The Role
It was a fantastic year working at MSD, they have invested a lot in the Early Talent Program with numerous placements and graduate schemes they have to offer.
My opinion were always valued by the team, I was always treated like a team member and never an intern.
There was lots of support from both my team and HR. I had weekly sit-downs with my manager to discuss my projects and progress. The HR team also provided us with an opportunity to partake in career fairs and interviews. We also had the opportunity to work on our CV with the Talent Aquisition Team.
There was always enough work to keep me busy if I ever felt that I had too much on my plate the team was ever ready to step in and help.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility for a student, but this has been pivotal to my development during my time at MSD. I was given my own projects to work on and if I ever needed assistance my manager was always there.
I'm sure all the skills I have gained and worked on during my year at MSD will not only aid me with my degree but in the future.
The Company
There is an open-plan office, that makes the atmosphere very laid back. all staff are very approachable and ever ready to help one another,
It was pretty well organized - we were provided with a schedule of all the events we had planned out for our year at MSD.
The firms invests a lot in the student, they are all allowed to attend all different training programs that are being offered throughout the year. we were also given the opportunity to have an end of year placement, that has really helped me overcome my fears of presenting.

MSD has a number of Graduate programmes they offer - they are students in the past who have returned to the company.
The Culture
As students, we had a few social - mainly in Hoddesdon or in London.
It was reasonable to live in Hoddesssdon, the best part was being 20 mins away from London
Herford has a decent nightlife.
We had a volunteering day at a nearby place.
