The Role
It is a great company which looks after their employees and you can have a lot of benefits. But I sometimes didn't have that much work to do so it got a bit boring every now and again.
Yeah all the colleagues are really nice and welcoming and want to help. They are just sometimes very busy (depending which department you're in) so they can't give you a task or help with it all the time. But they are always welcoming questions
This wasn't the best for me. I felt like they we're quite busy themselves and I didn't get that much guidance after the first month. But I think I could have asked for more, even I did it a few times and it helped but often not for that long.
There where busy days but most of the time I wasn't that busy and could have done with more tasks
Not that much. But this is probably because I haven't been to uni yet. And for some of my tasks I've been given responsibility and had to write up for example a report on my own.
Definitely the language (business english) as I am German. But also lots of little skills. I've never done any programming before and now I feel like I've got a good basic understanding I can build up onto during my time at university.
The Company
The atmosphere was good. The colleagues really nice and friendly and it was always ok to go for a little walk and a chat to people and then back to work.
I've heard from others that it was really good for them nd they got good guidance, but for me it was not the best but ok. The first month was a bit confusing. But during my time we made a welcome pack which hopefully will be used in future for other starters.
If I would have asked for some training I guess they would have. But I didn't know about it till the end.

They offered a sponsorship scheem for uni and work as summer intern. But I had to turn it down as I'm going to study in Germany.
The Culture
At Barnwood there were quite a lot of placement students so it was easie to make contact and meet new people in the same situation.
I can't really answer this as I was living almost an hour away as I decided to stay living there
I can't really answer this. But I know that the other placement students often met up for socials on some evenings, but I just lived to far away. Good place to live for evenings out is Cheltenham!
I can't really answer this as I haven't i formed myself
