The Role
I really enjoyed working for this firm as I thought the company culture was really inclusive and the opportunities for me to widen my skill base was provided.
I felt very valued by my colleagues as I felt as though they trusted me to do work for their clients as well as email clients directly.
As I had never studied property before my manager was incredibly helpful in giving me time in my first 2 days to research some of the key elements she thought I needed to know - as well as constantly trying to help me learn more through the month.
As it was August many members in my team didn't have as high work load as they would usually - this meant I wasn't always busy. However this worked well as my manager helped me to arrange meetings with different departments to gain a more well rounded insight.
I was trusted to work on documents that directly affected the whole team as well as being able to contact clients directly.
The skills I have developed over the past month will be invaluable to my future career. It has enabled me to understand the property industry better and further develop my communication skills.
The Company
Really pleasant, relaxed and professional.
We weren't given the timings of all of the intern events until a few days after we had started meaning that some people were unable to go to all of the talks and presentations. There were also no organised networking events.
Presentation skills, pitch training, client care session and a tech talk.
Subsidised Canteen
I would really like to work for this firm in the future as I really loved the opportunities for growth within the business and the culture.
The Culture
Yes the interns went out for drinks on a few occasions and I went out for drinks with my team as well.
London is very expensive - but you would expect nothing less!
Lots of pubs, bars and clubs in London.
There were quite a lot but as I was only there a month I don't think I got to appreciate them fully.
