The Role
I loved my internship, I thought the team I was with was so helpful and the training was enjoyable whilst also being educational. The working environment was completely different to that which I had expected, far less hierarchical and much more an emphasis on personal responsibility for work, which I feel I benefited from.
I was immediately welcomed into my team at PwC and felt at home at once. They were all very chatty and asked me questions/ told me about their work which really helped me to settle into the team far quicker than if I had been working alone - they were excellent.
The support structure at PwC is in my opinion second to none. The combination of having a 'buddy' to be able to chat to but also a 'career coach' to help organise and achieve career goals really helped to provide me with a stable support network for both my personal and professional achievements.
I would say that for the first week of the internship, we were all just settling in and so many people were not placed onto tasks. Soon however many people were assigned into projects/roles and everyone became a lot more busy, which I personally enjoyed but perhaps isn't for everyone.
I felt that the project I was on really allowed me to not only develop my personal skills but also feel valued in the team, and I had the responsibility of editing an architecture document within a proposal for a client. I felt valued and had a good level of responsibility.
This question is more difficult to answer, as many of the skills are certainly useful in all walks of life, i.e. leadership, teamwork, report writing etc., however I do not know where the future will take me. I hope that I have the option of using the more specific skills I developed later in life.
The Company
The atmosphere at PwC is much more relaxed and enjoyable than at first one would expect, but there is still a great work ethos and a productive atmosphere. The team goes for lunch together and chats about common interests, which makes the office a much more comfortable place to be.
I felt that my internship was very well organised and that I was rarely left floating about without anything to do. There were occasional difficulties with technology but certainly not at the fault of the company. The progression of the training to the work environment was also seamless and fun.
The company has many platforms with which a person can track their personal and professional goals/successes, and this really helps when training or making an effort to develop your skills. The people managers are proactive and assist in all matters with regards to training and development, so I felt well supported.

Company Parties/Events
The future employability of a PwC intern is exceptional, and their graduate job opportunities are second to none. A great benefit of the company is how flexible the structure is, in regards to how easy it is to move around departments within the company if you're looking for a career change.
The Culture
The Nightlife in London is obviously incredible, even if you're just having a casual drink with some of the other interns/employees there are so many places to go/things to see, and London in general has so many things to do, also outside of drinking, which has been a massive benefit of working for PwC in London.
