The Role
It was enjoyable, the workplace is very friendly and everyone is eager to help. Didn't encounter any individuals that would make working unpleasant or difficult. The work was satisfying as you felt you were actually contributing, and I was provided opportunity to interact with clients. Some of the work offered to interns isn't massively stimulating but this is expected as some tasks wouldn't be suitable for an intern.
I felt valued when part of my audit teams and when around the office. I was treated as if i were a full time member of staff and not just there for a short amount of time. Colleagues would entrust me with tasks and wouldn't undermine for disregard my ideas
There is a very good support network on the internship, including your in-charge on the particular job, a career coach who collates feedback, and a buddy who you can ask more simple non technical questions to. Support/guidance was always available when required and you felt like you could ask anyone in the office for help, not just those in your support network.
When out on client site i was always busy and never found myself bored or waiting for things to do, nor did i find myself over-worked. In the office work was less intense and on occasion i found myself with downtime which sometimes extended into lengthy periods without work. (it should be noted my internship was in a quiet period for audit so this is expected)
I was given an appropriate amount of responsibility for my grade. The work assigned to me felt important and i was working independently. Any work i did produce was reviewed meaning you don't need to worry that your mistakes are final. Could have handled a bit more responsibility especially after the first few weeks.
I definitely developed my technical IT skills, especially in excel, which i will continue to use at uni (e.g. in organising my studies) and which i expect to use in any future job i have. I have built on my time management skills and ability to work independently which are vital at uni and in the workplace.
The Company
Work was well organised into PwC's audit software. It was easy to follow, although it did require training to initially understand. Interns were all provided with the equipment (laptop, work phone) and stationary, which was free of course, needed to stay organised and i didn't encounter an unorganised setup in my time there.

There is a very clear line of progression with the firm with opportunities for self development (doing a professional accounting qualification). They are also very flexible with terms of employment, offering chance to change line of service and transfer to other offices (per your needs), as long as you meet the vetting process.
The Culture
Your in a workplace with many people similar to your won age so the social scene is very good. They seem to recruit like minded people for their internship so its really easy to get on with fellow interns. Socials where made available and i had a really great time with colleagues.
