The Role
The internship was extremely enjoyable. The project I was working on was very interesting and challenging. The offices are very modern and the culture of the company is fantastic. All my colleagues were very friendly and supportive. There was also lots of opportunities to go to social events with other associates.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues. Everyone in my department was very friendly and supportive. When I arrived I was immediately introduced to everyone in my department. There was a real sense that everyone was working as a team. I was also sat in the middle my team so I felt like I was a real part of the team.
I was given lots of support during my internship. If I ever needed help with anything I could ask my manager or my mentor. I had regular meetings with my manager where I could talk about the work I had been doing. I was also given feedback from my manager where I was told what my strengths and things I could improve on were.
It nearly always felt like there was work to do. If I ever felt like I was looking for something to work on I could ask my mentor, who would provide me with some suggestions. If I needed to take a break from work at any point I could and have a chat or go to the games room.
I felt like I was given a lot of responsibility during my internship as I could see the benefits of the project I was working on for the company. I had the responsibility of reporting what I had done to senior members of the department. I was also expected to attend regular meetings that other associates in my department would go to.
I developed many different skills during my internship. If I had a skill I needed to develop, training was readily available for this purpose. In particular my communication and presentation skills improved significantly, both by attending training sessions and through practicing these skills during work. These skills are invaluable for my degree studies and my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere was great in the office. The office was very spacious and open plan so it felt like I was working as part of a big team. There was a games room I could go to if I needed to take a break from work. There was also a kitchen area where I could get a drink.
The internship was extremely well organised. I was on a programme with about 25 other interns and there was a well defined structure to the programme. The onboarding process in the first week settled everyone in to the company. I always knew where I needed to be and it was clear what was expected from all the interns on the programme.
A lot was invested in the internship programme and into developing the skills of the interns. There were many different onboarding and training sessions in place for us. We were given presentations about the company as well as workshops to develop our skills. There was also talks for the interns given by various senior members of the company which meant it felt like the internship programme was extremely valued by the business.

Future job prospects are very good at the organisation and there are many perks associated with working at the business. There is a well defined structure of career development in the business and it clear what is expected on an employee in order to get promoted. It is definitely an organisation I could see myself working at for a long time.
The Culture
There was a great social scene and there were many social events put on for interns, including a trip to the London office. There was social events was also varied, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. These social events were also a very good opportunity to network with other colleagues.
The cost of living is very reasonable.
