I really enjoyed my internship at PwC, I was given the opportunity to be involved in so many different things during my time here and the insight into the office environment at PwC I have gained is invaluable. I really enjoyed all the projects I was involved with and the induction event at the start was also a great networking experience.

During the internship I felt valued by everyone who I worked with. Everyone in the team was very welcoming and always making sure I knew what I was doing and had work to do. People would explain everything to me in a way which I understood so I learned lots during my time here.

The guidance from everyone in the team during the internship was great. Everyone would always help out if I had any problems or was stuck with something. During my time here I had a buddy and a career coach who supported me and who I met with regularly to ask any questions I had.

On a daily basis I always found that I had work to do, most often people would approach me to ask for help with work however during quieter periods all I had to do was contact people and they would find things that I could help out with or put me in touch with people who had work. I was never bored.

During the internship I was given a lot more responsibility than I thought I would get prior to coming into the office. I was allowed to work on many projects independently, only asking for help when I was stuck and checking in with the final result etc. I was always kept in contact with regarding the outcome/final versions of work I completed.

The skills I have gained during the internship will be very helpful to me in my degree next year as I study modules which are directly linked to a lot of the concepts which have now already been explained to me. In a wider sense my general communication/office environment based skills have also improved a lot which will benefit me in the future.

The environment was really welcoming. The induction event was a great opportunity to be introduced to the other interns I would spend the next few weeks with. In the office there were social events going on which i was invited to and which were a great way to meet everyone in my team.

The internship was very well organised, the interview and offer making process was very formal but also gave a great initial insight into PwC. The welcome induction event was very well organised and provided both a lot of fun and also training. In the office everyone was prepared for me to start and I felt like I knew what I was meant to do at all times.

The initial induction event in Windsor was a great example of the company investing in us. We stayed in a hotel for three nights and had both entertainment and training days provided throughout. Once back in the office there were online training sessions and everyone around was willing to help out/support me.

Throughout the internship I have been kept in touch with regarding my progress and the feedback that has been received about how well I am doing. Hopefully if all goes to plan then on my final day in the office, I will be offered a graduate job for in a years time once I am finished with uni.

Starting off with the induction which was a great way to meet the other interns in my position we planned many social events together outside of work as well as a social networking event with our buddy's and career coaches during an evening. I met some great people during the internship who I will definitely stay in contact with.

Being in the centre of Manchester meant the surrounding area wasn't really cheap but obviously not as expensive as London. I moved into student accommodation during my internship and went out regularly after work, bought food etc and I still had plenty of money when taking into account the salary i was paid.

Nightlife in Manchester is great, plenty of restaurants and bars in the area directly surrounding the office and if you walk about 20 minutes into the student area there are lots of cheaper places to eat/drink too. There are lots of bars/clubs for nights out all within walking distance of the office and train/tram stations too.

During the first week here we had a team social event which I was invited too. This was a great way to network with the team but also to have fun, go go-karting, have a few drinks and enjoy my time here! As well as this many evenings drinks/ intern catch ups were organised too.
