The Role
I enjoyed this insight a lot. This is mainly because it was to develop my own musical skills and I even got to perform in shows to raise money for charity so there was this underlying moral goodness to what I was doing as I was also supporting others, not just me.
I think I was quite valued by my colleagues. This is because they invested quite a lot of time in helping me to be a better musician and a better performer so I felt like they valued me a lot. I also felt valued as I got to perform at shows so I felt as if I did have some talent.
I was given a lot of support and guidance. I was told how to improve in my musical ability and also how to improve on performing to an audience. I was also coached after each of my shows so that I could improve each time and each performance would be increasingly better.
I was generally quite busy on a daily basis as I had to practise and improve my music so that I would improve. However, this was fun as I enjoyed it and I never felt like I was bored and I never felt like it was repetitive as I was improving in different things.
I was given quite a high level of responsibility. This is shown mainly by me performing at shows to raise money for charity so they trusted me enough to perform for such a good cause so I felt like I had a certain responsibility to the company and to the charities.
I think that the musical skills I developed will stay with me forever as I am definitely a better performer now which is good. I also feel like the experience of performing will be useful in the future for me to use as reference for me when I am performing in the future.
The Company
Generally, it was quite fun when I was working there. This is mainly because I got to practise my music around like-minded people so I got on well with them and they were really fun so my rehearsals were never boring and they helped me a lot which made it very supportive.
I think that the internship was set up quite well as there was quite a good distribution between rehearsing and performing which was good for me as it meant I kept improving before my next performance which I really appreciated as I got to feel that I was growing as a person.
In terms of personal training and development, the company did invest a lot in me as they did help me improve my musical abilities quite a lot and they would do this all the time so I was continually improving with their help which was really nice of them to do so.

I would definitely love working there in the future as not only do I get to perform there which is definitely my passion, I also get to raise money for charity which is really good because it felt like I was making a wider impact in the world through my music.
The Culture
There was a good social scene between me and the other colleagues because we all obviously liked music so were very like-minded and this was nice to know that I was working with people like me while I was there and this made it much easier to work there in fact.
The cost of living in London was of course very high but I did not need to move as I was able to travel from home into the studio that I worked in. There was definitely a wide variety of socialising opportunities near the studio that I worked at but some were priced very high.
Near the studio, there was quite a lot of nightlife which was very nice as it meant that there were things to do after work and there was quite a large variety of things to do so we got to experience many things. However, sometimes these opportunities could be overly expensive.
There were endless social opportunities to meet up with the colleagues working there to have a good time and just relax and socialise outside of work which was nice to know we were all comfortable like that. Furthermore, I got to go to many other music concerts which was very fun.
