The Role
It was overall an amazing job. I got to learn plenty of new technologies and strengthen my software development skills. Most importantly, I got to finish a project, from beginning to end - and that definitely boosted my creative skills.
As all interns, I'd been receiving feedback throughout the internship, formal and informal. It really helped me feel like part of a team, and not just a person to outsource mundane tasks to.
My colleagues have successfully created an atmosphere where I did not have to be afraid of asking questions, should I have any problems. I could always reach out to someone and count on their support.
Moderately. As it is with any creative process, there are slow days where you spend most of the time thinking of an elegant solution to a problem, but there were days where, once I figured out what I should do, I was kept busy the whole time.
I received a task involving making a separate project from scratch, so this definitely felt like a big responsibility, but at the same time I was assured that it's not crucial to the whole project, so I did not feel too overwhelmed. I found this balance very helpful during my internship.
I learned many real-life-project skills, including management of large-scale projects and working with version control systems. These are skills on which, I feel, not enough time is being put into at university courses, and which will be very valuable to me regardless of who my employer will be in the future.
The Company
It was quiet, which I actually liked a lot. It definitely helped me focus on my job and not get distracted.
The company ran a tight ship. Anything I needed to know I could ask either HR department or one of my colleagues. Any urgent info was sent to our mailboxes immediately, so I never felt like I was misinformed about something.
The company provided us with various courses for which you normally have to pay for. At the beginning of my internship I was given plenty of time to familiarize myself with the project and learn any skills and technologies in order to complete the project seamlessly.

It very much seems like a stable workplace. I enjoyed my stay at the company and in fact, I plan on returning here after my internship.
The Culture
There was a visible division between financial and engineering interns, but the overall atmosphere was fine. Interns talked to each other all the time, and provided support for internal matters, especially at the beginning where one might not be well-oriented in the firm and/or ashamed to ask questions of their superiors.
Warsaw is not a particularly expensive place to live and socialize. I come from this very area, so I'm not sure if my experience is relevant, but I didn't hear any colleagues from different cities/countries complain about the cost of living.
There are plenty of bars, night clubs, places to go to after hours and in which you can spend the whole night. Combining that with great public transport, I would definitely recommend it to someone who is into that sort of thing.
We were given an opportunity to participate in volunteering works at a foundation for children with cancers. It involved things like gardening and cleaning the foundation area. It was very fun and gave me an opportunity to meet some of my fellow interns.
