The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship. I particularly enjoyed working in a team on all of the audit jobs that i participated in. There was a good atmosphere in the office. I also enjoyed the variety of work that i got to take part in throughout the course of my internship.
I thought that the support that was provided during my internship was excellent. I did not expect to be supported so much. Before I started I was contacted by my 'buddy' who answered any questions that I had about the job. I was also assigned a 'career coach' who was a useful source of information and met with me three times during my internship.
I thought that the balance of work during my internship was great. The intensity of work increased as my skills improved. The expectations of the amount of work I could do were well estimated. There was always enough to do and I never felt bored or underworked on this internship.
I felt that the amount of responsibility was well balanced and increased during my placement. At first I was given simpler tasks and was always able to ask for help. By the end of my internship I had a lot of responsibility on my tasks and felt that i was a valued part of the Audit team.
I felt that I developed many useful skills during my placement. My teamwork skills improved significantly during my internship, and my technical abilities on microsoft office increased substantially. I also became more comfortable speaking to clients and building professional relationships with them and going directly to them when I had doubts.
The Company
The office atmosphere was a perfect balance of good work ethic and a fun atmosphere. As the office is full of young people it was a great place to work and get to know people. The atmosphere was also one that encouraged hard work and helping others to complete their work.
The organisation of the internship was perfect. The 3 day induction at the start gave us a lot of useful knowledge that we used throughout the 6 week internship. We were assigned to jobs from the beginning that had work for us to do. The schedule of job assignments worked well and gave me a wide range of experiences.
I was offered a job by PwC. I was made aware of the endless opportunities that PwC offer in terms of transferring between offices and lines of service. I feel like there is a lot of possibility to move forward in my career here and for possible location changes in the future.
