The Role
Genuinely enjoyed this internship so much, great culture and atmosphere.
Very much, I joined various teams and each of them treated me like a real member.
Each intern is assigned a mentor, a connector, and a manager for each department they join.
Varying by day but fairly busy. The internship is split between analytics and sales. In sales interns plan their own day and these can get quite busy. In analytics the days are planned for you.
I was left to work on real projects that involved contacting clients and trusted to do this without continued supervision. I also had the opportunity to lead internal projects.
I would say Bloomberg is the ultimate place to develop an understanding of the financial industry as Bloomberg's clients include people across the industry.
The Company
everybody at Bloomberg is always ready to help each other and very responsive to interns reaching out for support
The internship was incredibly well structured. Each week focused on a different clients type and assignments and trainings were designed to match these topics.
The company invested hugely in having senior people train interns and give there time to support us.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
lots of room for growth and possibility to move between departments
The Culture
there were great events hosted for the interns and the group atmosphere among the interns was great. Although the internship was competitive interns never put each other down, everyone helped each other
London is naturally expensive but Bloomberg provides breakfast and snacks and sometimes dinner. Housing is unavoidably pricy
London has great nightlife but as an intern I was generally too tired to make use of this
BOB = best of Bloomberg gives every bloomberg intern opportunities to volunteer for lots of different charities
