The Role
I enjoyed all aspects on my placement especially the fact that I got out and about on site a lot and that I wasn't sat in the office all the time which was good as everyone in the team gave me the opportunity to get out and always invited me along.
Everyone made me feel very welcome within the team and always invited me along to social events within the company.
I was always given support when I needed it, in circumstances such as pieces of work which I was given the task of doing, they would then be checked and guidance given back to me about what could have been done better.
I always had work to do, whether that was work for people in the office but then I also had time to complete a diary which I had to do for university and always had work that I could be getting on with.
Some of the pieces of work I was given were live projects which I was given total responsibility of which was really good experience as I would then reecieve feedback on that work.
Everything I learnt on the placement will be helpful towards my final year of my degree as it puts all the theory into practice which is what I needed.
The Company
Everyone in the office was really friendly and if you ever were walking about or in the kitchen people would smile and have a chat with you happily.
Everything ran really smoothly, having an introduction day was really good to meet all the HR team and the other interns and then meeting the team everyone was really friendly.
The firm put a lot of presentation skills training on which was really helpful as we had a presentation on our final day, however there wasnt much variety of training.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing to me and the internship has provided me with an insight that I would love to work for the company in the future.
The Culture
Yes, meeting everyone on the first day was really nice and then we had a BBQ on the final day which was also really nice, however there could have been an event put on maybe for the interns throughout the placement.
London is really expensive in terms of both the commute there everyday and then the social aspect as well is incredibly expensive.
There are plenty of pubs and bars and places to go for a drink with work colleagues which was really nice around the area I worked in.
Yes, lots of social activities which I was invited along to both with my team and other graduates as well.
