    • I feel I learned a lot of useful skills from my placement and pushed myself harder than I thought I could

    • I felt my colleagues really appreciated the work I was doing and that they valued my skillset

    • My team were very supportive and willing to help me whenever I needed it

    • I always had various pieces of work to jump between which kept me busy and meant I was never bored

    • I was given a lot of responsibility and was allowed to work on some important pieces

    • Everyone was helpful and I felt I could speak to anyone, regardless of their role in the office

    • I felt that my team had a clear idea of what they wanted me to achieve during my placement

    • The team gave me a lot of responsibility and spent a lot of time training me in how to write using the house style guide

    • Working from home

    • I would gladly work with Arup again and feel that they were positive about getting me back to do more work perhaps next summer

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • I didnt really socialise with people I worked with but I didnt have an issue with this. There were social events while I was there, I didnt attend them though

    • As the office is in the city centre, there were plenty of options for food and drinks

    • Its Glasgow - of course it's great!

    • Yep, plenty opportunity to socialise
