  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an amazing experience to be a part of a positive, fast pace environment where everyone was so supportive to aid me with my internship, which I was so grateful for as they all were extremely busy with their own tasks however they still made me feel so welcome and apart of the team.

  • I felt very valued by my colleagues as they involved me with every task and made me feel part of the team during my time within the company.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given support throughout my whole time and felt very confident with the team as if i need to ask any questions, they were always willing to help me.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had a perfect balance of work as i was given daily tasks to complete as well as a few hours a week i was allowed to dedicate to a presentation that i was doing with other interns at the end of the month.

  • I was given a good level of responsibility as certain tasks i was the only one doing them for a client and therefore i was relied on to get the job done.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The training and skills gained at CBRE has been very beneficial as i learned throughout all the training provided on how to communicate, present and simplify tasks within the real estate sector.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere in the office was a good balance of positive and fun as well as extremely professional which made everyone productive and relaxed.

  • It was very well organised as there was constant structure as well as hotels and trains being pre booked days before making it run efficiently.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The training provided was a huge investment from technology and understanding the future of the company and where they are heading. Providing presentation skills on how to pitch your idea to a client as well as giving vital information by doing a set amount of research.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It is very appealing as the company provided me with a great experience overall.I felt incredibly honoured and grateful to be a part of the 2019 summer internship scheme. The teams approach and commitment was nothing short of best in class, I realy did not want to leave the team at the end of it.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • During my time I felt encouraged to join in with social activities from a charity cycle competition against the Leeds office, as well as invited to go out for after work drinks on a Friday and lunches on regular bases.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Manchester was relatively expensive compared to other regional cities to live in however, the city is great to live in and i really enjoyed my time there.

  • The nightlife was good as there are many options on where to go and what type of night you wanted with many bars and restaurants.
