The Role
It was an amazing experience to be a part of a positive, fast pace environment where everyone was so supportive to aid me with my internship, which I was so grateful for as they all were extremely busy with their own tasks however they still made me feel so welcome and apart of the team.
I felt very valued by my colleagues as they involved me with every task and made me feel part of the team during my time within the company.
I was given support throughout my whole time and felt very confident with the team as if i need to ask any questions, they were always willing to help me.
I had a perfect balance of work as i was given daily tasks to complete as well as a few hours a week i was allowed to dedicate to a presentation that i was doing with other interns at the end of the month.
I was given a good level of responsibility as certain tasks i was the only one doing them for a client and therefore i was relied on to get the job done.
The training and skills gained at CBRE has been very beneficial as i learned throughout all the training provided on how to communicate, present and simplify tasks within the real estate sector.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was a good balance of positive and fun as well as extremely professional which made everyone productive and relaxed.
It was very well organised as there was constant structure as well as hotels and trains being pre booked days before making it run efficiently.
The training provided was a huge investment from technology and understanding the future of the company and where they are heading. Providing presentation skills on how to pitch your idea to a client as well as giving vital information by doing a set amount of research.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
It is very appealing as the company provided me with a great experience overall.I felt incredibly honoured and grateful to be a part of the 2019 summer internship scheme. The teams approach and commitment was nothing short of best in class, I realy did not want to leave the team at the end of it.
The Culture
During my time I felt encouraged to join in with social activities from a charity cycle competition against the Leeds office, as well as invited to go out for after work drinks on a Friday and lunches on regular bases.
Manchester was relatively expensive compared to other regional cities to live in however, the city is great to live in and i really enjoyed my time there.
The nightlife was good as there are many options on where to go and what type of night you wanted with many bars and restaurants.
