The Role
I enjoyed gaining new skills and the personal development I experienced. It was really interesting. The staff have been welcoming, friendly and supportive. I've enjoyed living in Cambridge.
They have offered me a permanent position here. This has really validated my hard work and skill set which I keen to continue developing.
I've been offered a wealth of support, guidance and opportunities from my managers, buddy and other CRUK staff.
It took a few weeks to really get started. But since, I have been very busy and able to get on with my own work.
I've been responsible for my own project including practical lab work, analysis and write-ups. I have also helped other members of the team with their work including countersigning their ELNs and assisting in their cell culture.
They secured me a permanent role!
The Company
Really laid back, welcoming and friendly. I got involved with socials and spoke to a number of colleges.
The organisation of the scheme was great. My project could have been slightly better thought out but overall it scores pretty high.
Staff members dedicated a lot of time from their busy schedules and commitments ti support me in my work.
