The Role
I have had a fantastic time within the Financial Planning department at Grant Thornton Oxford. I have had great support and training which has enabled me to thrive. During the year Grant Thornton helped me to complete the Certificate in Financial Planning and map out my future career.
I was considered part of the team and felt a valued member of the department
During my placement the support form my manager was tremendous. If ever I had a question about a certain task or was unsure about a technical issue he would always make time to help me.
During my time on placement there were times when the department was very busy, resulting in working after my contracted hours, however, any over time was paid or could be taken as TOIL.
I was given a vast amount of responsibility while on placement including the administration of corporate clients and drafting reports for individual clients.
The skills I have developed on my placement can not be taught at university. The hands on experience has enabled me to learn key transferable skills that will not only assist me in my final year at university but also in my chosen career., Financial Planning!
