    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I massively enjoyed the work I did on the internship. Specially in some business areas; it was incredibly engaging and fast paced

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • This varied desk by desk and on how busy they were; I think it’s natural you get on with some people better than others and don’t think this should be seen as a negative

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given as much support as I found necessary; I don’t think a huge deal of support is needed, it’s good that they trusted us and let us get on with the job

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Again this varied desk by desk; some days I was bored some days I had too much overall though I found the balance good

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The right level; when your learning you don’t want too much responsibility and don’t want to feel that clients are relying on work you are doing; it’s all part of the learning curve

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definitely skills for life; I learnt so much about the financial markets, businesses and how people work together in a team

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fantastic atmosphere where everyone was pushing to do their job to the best level and enjoyed that drive

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well organised and ate up

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested so much in all of the interns; senior management always had their door open and I really valued that

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Really hoping I get a job there!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Super good, everyone got on very well and the group was lovely

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive, but that’s to be expected in central London

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very good

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Very few opportunities, if any

    1/5
