The Role
I think it was a great experience
I felt I was doing meaningful work
I was given support by my manager and also other members of the team who I was working closely with
I was given a good bit of work which was unexpected as an intern. I liked being given a lot of real/ useful work as it gave me a great insight into the tasks I’d be doing on the grad program and helped me to feel like I was adding value
I was given quite a lot of responsibility on the internship more than I had initially imagined I would have which was great
I’m not quite sure as I’ve only just started my studies again but I imagine the skills will be very helpful and help me to associate the theory I am learning to real-life examples
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was generally very pleased with most people being very friendly and offering to help but also chat and head for coffee etc . This helped me feel included in the day to day team and also to make friends and feel more comfortable within my role
The internship was extremely well organised in every aspect. From the first day to meeting our manager and being provided with support systems such as buddies, networking events, training, recruitment drop of sessions etc. Even before we started we were provided clear instructions about the internship structure, move to London and what was required of us.
We were provided with lots of training such as excel skills, presentation skills, etc. We were also provided with an insight into the different areas of finance and business management from different division leaders. On top of these mandatory sessions, we also had the opportunity to join extra learning such as building your personal brand

The prospects of working at jp Morgan in the future are very appealing and the internship was a great way to start my journey with the firm not just to secure a full-time offer but to learn about the firm and the culture and decide that it is the type of place I would love to work at
The Culture
Yes there was a good social scene amongst the interns. Everyone was very friendly and went for drinks, dinners or other social outings often. The firm also organised a number of fun intern social nights for us where we could meet with the other interns and get to know everyone
Cost of living in London is high but not crazy and the salary was fair taking this into account. There is a brilliant social scene in London with multiple things to do every weekend and weekday. The city is a great place to live from a social point of view as you would never be bored
The nightlife was great, London is full of exciting clubs cocktails bars, pubs etc, there also theatre concerts, sporting events, comedy clubs etc. There is so much to do in London particularly at night, there is always a buzz around the city and no one would ever be bored
there's something for everyone in London no matter what activity it is that interests you, it somewhat he’d to get involved when busy with work but there is a loss to do even outside of work hours or at the weekend, the city has every activity imaginable
