The Role
Very pleasing. I was given a choice over the projects I could get involved in. Exciting projects and very friendly team.
Very much so. I was able to get involved in a variety of different projects. They welcomed any comments/suggestions I had on the projects and considered me a part of the team.
I was always provided with feedback on the work I competed and assistance whenever necessary. The team members I was working with made sure to give me a strong introduction to their projects and checked up on me to ensure I was not too busy/had enough to do.
I was given a good amount of work.
I was given a good amount of responsibility.
Very helpful. Developed skills and knowledge not taught at university. Summer placement was great in bridging the gap between my studies.
The Company
Very friendly and welcoming. A variety of different social events to get involved in.
Very well organised. There was a thorough induction to the company/office/team provided in the first two days of the placement. I was introduced to the team which made me feel comfortable and able to settle in very quickly.
The team made sure I was building a broad range of skills and gaining experience in a wide variety of projects. There were a number of CPD events available each week and opportunities to develop new skills with new projects and online learning modules available to all staff.
Very! Arup is a terrific company to work for - this summer I was able to develop skills and knowledge not taught at university whilst making great connections and working on some very exciting projects!
