The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement at Accenture - in particular, working with different industries
I felt extremely valued by colleagues and was given huge amounts of responsibilities (on the same levels of graduates)
I was given consistent feedback and guidance by both of my managers whilst on placement. I learnt a lot about the industry from them and they were always there to answer any questions
Days varied - there was often short bursts of very busy periods (especially if we were on client site) and then some quieter periods (which consisted of completing adhoc tasks)
I was given huge amounts of responsibility as my manager and I had the same tasks (just for different client locations). This meant I had to manage several stakeholders and work directly with the client.
I have learnt the importance of stakeholder management and time management. These will be useful both in future work and at University.
The Company
I worked on client site so the there was a real sense of team spirit. The teams often held a work hard play hard attitude, which made it a great environment to work in.
The internship was well structured, being split into two so we got to experience different projects and industries.
We were given a training week at the start of the internship which included a 1 day advanced excel training course, which was very useful

I have been offered a graduate role (providing I get a 2:1 in my degree)
The Culture
Yes, we often had intern socials, as well as team socials.
It was expensive in London but when we travelled things were paid for, which encouraged socialisation within the team as we went for dinner together.
Central London, where our main client site was based, was surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants that we could go to after work.
Yes, there were several sports societies and other societies such as wine tasting.
