  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • very engaging and great opportunities to network, work shadow and listen and ask questions in presentations and webinars.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • whilst work shadowing in the global markets division i felt the team was very responsive to my interests and assigned relevant people i could talk to and work shadow. Everyone was open to answering any questions i had and encouraged to always ask more by connecting with them on linkedin.

  • Before the insight i was given a few things to think about whilst looking forward to my work shadowing and on the day everyone was amazing answering my questions.

  • I believe this insight programme has definitely helped in deciding my career choice and has motivated me to do even better in my studies as well as outside in order to pursue a career within this bank or any financial institution.

  • Everything was given on time. emails were very informative and got quick replies.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Culture and atmosphere was very inviting. everyone seemed approachable and it was easy to talk about both weaknesses and strengths between other candidates as well as heard about failures and successes from employees. everyone was very honest and open and i felt more motivated to join this firm as the culture and values were very positive.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given guidance as to which division i wanted to choose. as well up follow up webinars. many opportunities to network with individual from the bank and different divisions as well as encouraged to ask as many questions.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Having work shadowed 9-5 i feel i have a good idea of the working condition and people. i believe if the work shadowing was longer i could have benefited more.

  • the staff were very helpful and open to questions. they were also happy to refer me to a friend who has better knowledge and i was very grateful for that as it allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the roles and made my experience better and more valuable.

  • It was very well organised as i was able to gain so much knowledge of the different divisions in the bank. I was given various opportunities to ask questions and was able to connect with many people to ask questions later on.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • yes. many networking sessions as well presentations from members of different divisions. finally had opportunity to work shadow where i was able to meet the whole team on the global markets division.

  • Everyone was very approachable whilst networking. enjoyed this very much as was able to meet very interesting people who i am still in contact with and have helped me decide my division id like to gain further experience in.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • yes. I was made aware of many initiative the bank offer such as creating own societies as well as being able to join many. the firm also provides opportunities to study further. and in terms of internships interns are taken out for social events often.

  • Definitely. The experience was very unique and valuable and something a lot of other firms cannot provide.
