Intern Review

Despite my lack of work experience, my team gave me meaningful and challenging work. I had the opportunity to work on projects that very varied in nature. When I needed help, they were always there to offer guidance. There was the occasional downtime where I had very little to do.

My colleagues were very welcoming and kind. They let me participate in meetings and valued my feedback, even though I was only an intern. They trusted me to give presentations, handle delicate information and work independently even though I have very little prior work experience. Not only this, but they would also regularly ask for my opinion on important matters.

My managers were very kind, helpful and made my internship very fruitful and fun. When I needed help, they were always there to guide me and when I did something wrong, they would tell me as to avoid me making that mistaken again. When I was sick or needed to leave early, they would always let me.

At the start and towards the end I was busy enough to never have to wait around for more work. During the middle of my internship, I started running out of work from time to time and people around the office were away on holiday and my work required them.

From my very first day I was given a project to handle on my own. To successfully finish it, my team trusted me to contact the necessary people, give presentations about it to others and finish it in time. Throughout my internship I had total responsibility over what I did. The only reason I am not giving 10/10 is because there was always someone from my team at presentations to ensure everything goes smoothly.

I did the internship for my university degree. The skills I were able to develop (Excel, presentation, etc) will prove very useful in future jobs. At the start of the internship I received excel training which has proven very helpful not only during the internship but also at university where we have excel classes.

The CEO of the office has worked very hard to create a very warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone gets along. People would talk, laugh and socialize at the office when they had time. It was a very nice experience and I hope to find a job in the future with a similar atmosphere.

The first week of our internship was a very nice experience. We had some team building activities with the other interns, training which was surprisingly fun and interesting thanks to the people teaching us and some social events to get to know one another quite well. Throughout the internship, we had fun activities among interns organised and paid for by the company (like go-karting).

The firm offered many training sessions. Some that were mandatory for interns and others was were optional.

Since I am not finished with university yet, I was simply doing the internship for work experience.

I made some great friends working there with whom I would regularly go out and enjoy time with. The company did a great job getting everyone to know each other with their numerous events ranging from social drinks to karting. The floor I was working on also organised events for those working there (like a sports event at a local park).

Since I was working in the City, food around the office was quite expensive. Nightlife in London is always expensive as well.

There were plenty of bars near the office. Living in London also meant we had access to all the clubs and etc.

Since work finished quite early, it left me plenty of time to enjoy London for my short 3 month stay. The company had a gym as well which meant that you could exercise right after work and it was quite cheap for a gym in London but with fantastic equipment.
