The Role
It was a great place to work, I loved the people and the job was really rewarding
I received positive feedback from colleagues whenever I helped them out with projects or did well - this made me feel like a highly valued member of the team
I definately felt that if anything was bothering me in regards to my work I could definately get help very easily from my manager, I wasn't afraid to ask for help and both my manager and supervisor were incredibly helpful when I needed it
It varies, some weeks I have a lot to do and sometimes not a lot - I guess all jobs have busy periods and quiet periods
I definately feel that Intel gave me a lot of responsibility, they trusted me to do important jobs and they didn't constantly check up on me which makes me feel very reassured and trusted
I definately feel that I have developed skills which have made me a highly employable individual, the trainings are great in developing soft skills such as presentation skills and leadership, I also got to experience and shadow other departments which has given me a clear insight into what roles I enjoy and what I don't
The Company
The atmosphere in our department was quite quiet, people just got on with their jobs - it would have been better if the atmosphere was more lively
We had a clear integration plan and the placement as a whole was very challenging and rewarding
Very good training programmes (both mandatory and optional) - you can gain and improve your skills in almost anything
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
I think it is very unlikely that there are any graduate prospects within my department but it is certainly likely in all the other departments. Because it is unlikely that my department will hire graduates it isn't very appealing to me at all
The Culture
Very good intern and colleague social life, always something going on including company parties and events
Really cheap rent!!! bars and clubs are quite average but definately affordable
Quite poor but the people made it a good night out, there aren't many clubs but the main thing is that I enjoyed spending time with my friends and colleagues :)
There were really good opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities, I think that is something Intel really promotes
