About You
KPMG gave me the necessary experience to excel in the future in a software engineering role.I worked closely with current graduate programme software engineers within the organisation observing and actively learning about their work process and projects.Attending meetings and other regular activities as a member of the team.
I felt at home as the team was open to all interns engaging in their work.Offering some time to reflect and review their daily tasks with us even if it resulted in a delay in their work. All in all,KPMG is a great place to work.
There was a qualified duo of two former Insight Week participants who were out first port of call during the week.
I believe I will be ready to focus on my dissertation better with the mentality and maturity developed while working at KPMG in those few weeks.
The Company
The team had a plan which they followed strictly to the T.Very well indeed.
It was a pleasant environment where we were nurtured, treated with respect and engaged by all.I recommend applying to KPMG to anyone reading this.
They opened Pluralsight accounts for the software engineering interns to learn about Javascript,NodeJS and ReactJS programming languages and modules.I believe this greatly improved our training. In addition to this, various people in the company trained us in the tools they used in their respective areas of business inorder to give us a wider persepctive of the organisation.
The integration into the work life at the company for 4 weeks gives you a great picture of day to day life working in a full time role.
Very much indeed.
I believe the time at KPMG will help me significantly to work in the future for a tech company.
